Arriving by plane

The nearest airport is Bologna “G. Marconi” Airport (BLQ), approximately 50 km from Ferrara.

From Bologna Airport to Ferrara, two main options are available:

• Direct shuttle (Bus&Fly)

A dedicated Ferrara Bus & Fly shuttle connects Bologna Airport to Ferrara (railway station and Viale Cavour, in the city centre). The journey takes about 1 hour. Timetables and tickets are available on the operator’s website.

• Airport train connection via Bologna Centrale

The Marconi Express monorail links the airport to Bologna Centrale railway station in about 7 minutes. From Bologna Centrale, frequent regional trains (“Regionale” / “Regionale Veloce”) reach Ferrara railway station in about 30–50 minutes.

From Ferrara railway station, the venue (Palazzo Bevilacqua Costabili, Via Voltapaletto 11) can be reached on foot (about 20 minutes) or by local bus/taxi.

From Ferrara railway station (by foot)

From the station, the venue can be reached in about 20 minutes on foot. Exit the station, turn left towards Viale Cavour and follow it straight until it becomes Corso Giovecca. Continue along Corso Giovecca up to the intersection with Via Bersaglieri del Po, then turn into Via Bersaglieri del Po and take the first left into Via Voltapaletto; Palazzo Bevilacqua Costabili is at number 11.

From Ferrara railway station (by bus)

Several urban bus lines connect the station to Corso Giovecca and the city centre. From the station forecourt, you can take lines 6 or 9 towards the centre and get off at the “Giovecca–Teatini” stop, then walk along Corso Giovecca to Via Bersaglieri del Po and turn into Via Voltapaletto. Alternatively, line 11 towards “Chiesuol del Fosso” stops at “Cavour Giardini”; from there, continue on foot along Corso Giovecca and follow the same route.

Parking

Participants arriving by car can use several car parks close to the historic centre of Ferrara. A convenient option is the “Centro Storico – Kennedy” car park (Piazzale Kennedy), located just outside the ZTL and within walking distance of the venue. Other nearby car parks include Ex MOF (Via Darsena), Baluardo San Lorenzo (Via dei Baluardi), Diamanti (Via Arianuova), Borgoricco (Contrada di Borgoricco), San Guglielmo (Via S. Guglielmo) and Porta Mare (Corso Porta Mare). All of them provide easy pedestrian access to the historic centre and to Palazzo Bevilacqua Costabili.
